15th august

This afternoon Steve Lamacq premiered Suede's new single "Life Is Golden" on BBC Radio 6 Music. If you missed it, you can hear it now through different digital and streaming platforms

"Life Is Golden" is an Anderson / Oakes / Codling composition produced by Alan Moulder featuring an orchestral arrangement by Neil Codling performed by the The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

The official video for "Life Is Golden" was filmed in the abandoned city of Pripyat, Ukraine near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and was directed by Mike Christie who told The Quietus about the video: "It's not about the tragedy of the disaster that happened all those years ago - it's about the unstoppable force of life that's consumed the desolate landscape left behind by humans. It seemed wonderfully apt to set the song to cracked concrete, all conquered by towering golden trees.".
